The Supreme Court today issued a second order regarding oral argument procedures in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.  (See here regarding the first.)

It’s not only the attorneys who will be participating remotely.  The order provides that “no more than five justices will be seated on the bench for any argument session, with the two remaining justices participating remotely.”  (Related:  here.)

For the cases that will be heard, “each side will be allowed up to five minutes to give an uninterrupted opening argument.”

Courtroom seating will be limited to the press and only to 15 people, “in order to achieve appropriate social distancing.”  Everyone can still watch the arguments at a link on the court’s website.
