Former Supreme Court Justice Kathryn Werdegar writes in today’s Daily Journal about a research travel grant that she and her husband are funding. But the column is actually much more about the grant’s honoree — the legendary Selma Moidel Smith. Moidel Smith, who will turn 100 next month and has been a lawyer for over 75 years, very actively serves with Justice Werdegar on the board of the California Supreme Court Historical Society. [Disclosure: I am also a board member.] It is the Society that established the grant.
