Last month, appellate attorney Jon Eisenberg and former Court of Appeal Presiding Justice Gary Strankman asked the Supreme Court to transfer 57 long-pending appeals from the Third District Court of Appeal to other California appellate courts because of substantial delays in deciding the cases.  Two days ago, Eisenberg and Strankman revised the number to 41 cases.

Today, the Supreme Court unanimously denied the transfer request “in its entirety.”
