The Chief appoints Judicial Council liaisons to reach out to AOC divisions and county courts statewide
According to a Judicial Council new release from last week, Chief Justice Cantil-Sakauye is pairing up Judicial Council members with each of the state’s 58 trial courts and each of the 12 divisions of the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) to enhance transparency and communication about how the council operates and governs. Looking at the list of council members linked in the news release, one case see (on page 4) which judge is assigned as a liaison to which group of county courts and (on pages 5-6) which judges and lawyer are assigned as liaisons to which AOC divisions.
While this development isn’t directly related to the operation of the California Supreme Court, it does reflect the Chief’s ongoing effort to strengthen the judicial branch as a whole, in part by fostering greater understanding and cooperation among the courts, judicial council and AOC.
