Malcolm Maclachlan reports in the Daily Journal about the Supreme Court’s transfer of cases from the Sixth District Court of Appeal to Divisions One and Three of the Fourth District.  The orders come after the Supreme Court last month rejected a request from a former Court of Appeal presiding justice and a distinguished appellate lawyer to transfer cases out of the Third District.

The key difference seems to be that the Sixth District requested the transfers while the request regarding Third District cases came from outside the appellate court.
