The three-day 30th annual Golden State Institute — a program by the Antitrust, UCL, and Privacy Section of the California Lawyers Association — will feature “A Conversation With California Supreme Court Justice Joshua P. Groban.”  It will be a virtual program (aren’t they all?), with the one-hour Justice Groban event taking place on October 27 at 1:10 p.m.

Meanwhile, as reported by Glen Faison of the Fairfield Daily Republic, Supreme Court Justice-appointee Martin Jenkins recently addressed the Solano County Bar Association about the importance of civility in the legal profession.  Speaking not long after Governor Gavin Newsom announced the appointment, Jenkins told the lawyers he was “humbled” and he said, “I’m still in a bit of a tizzy over events of the past few days.  I think it’s safe to say . . . I didn’t see this coming.”
