Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero today announced the appointment of Kyle Graham as the Supreme Court’s chief supervising attorney and Jonathan Lange as the assistant chief supervising attorney. (See Merrill Balassone’s news release for California Courts.)

Graham has been the court’s assistant chief supervising attorney since 2017 and, among other prior jobs, was a staff attorney for Justice Carlos Moreno. Lange has worked for Guerrero at the Supreme Court and, before that, when she was a Court of Appeal justice.
Also, Graham and Justice Leondra Kruger were Yale Law School classmates.
Graham replaces Jake Dear, who announced his retirement in November after serving the court for 40 years and as the court’s top attorney beginning in 2007.
