There will be a vacancy on the Supreme Court in 10 days when Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar retires.  Until a replacement is appointed, confirmed, and sworn in, the court will enlist Court of Appeal justices to sit pro tem.

The court today announced the pro tems — assigned on a mostly alphabetical basis — for the November calendar cases.  They are:

Segal v. ASICS America Corp.:  Fourth District, Division One, Justice Joan Irion.

People v. Holmes, McClain, and Newborn:  Fourth District, Division One, Justice Terry O’Rourke.

Doe v. Olson:  Second District, Division Five, Justice Justice Carl Moor.

Lawson v. PPG Architectural Finishes, Inc.:  Fourth District, Division Two, Justice Douglas Miller.

People v. Tirado:  Second District, Division Seven, Presiding Justice Dennis Perluss.
