The Supreme Court has announced the Court of Appeal justices who will sit on the November calendar cases, temporarily filling the vacancy created by Justice Ming Chin’s retirement. It will be the third and, most probably, the last batch of oral arguments where pro tems will be needed for that vacancy; Martin Jenkins’s appointment to the court should be confirmed the following week.
The November pro tems — assigned on a mostly alphabetical basis — are:
Vazquez v. Jan-Pro Franchising International, Inc.: First District, Division One, Presiding Justice Jim Humes.
In re Palmer: Sixth District Justice Adrienne Grover.
People v. Johnsen: Fourth District, Division Three, Justice Raymond Ikola.
People v. Ramirez: Fourth District, Division One, Justice Richard Huffman.
People v. Baker: Third District Justice Harry Hull, Jr.
