Tomorrow morning, the Supreme Court will file its opinion in People v. Wright.  (Briefs here; oral argument video here.)

Wright is an automatic direct appeal from a June 2002 judgment of death.  The court’s website does not list issues for death penalty appeals.  Counsel was appointed in December 2007.  Initial briefing was completed in April 2015.

Second District, Division Two, Presiding Justice Elwood Lui, is sitting as a pro tem in place of Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar, who left the court a few weeks after the Wright argument.

The opinions can be viewed tomorrow starting at 10:00 a.m.
