As described in this news release, the Chief Justice delivered her First Annual Address to the State Bar in Long Beach on September 17. The Chief also heralded a “new era in judicial branch governance,” and summarized her efforts to respond to the challenge some trial judges have mounted to the centralized authority of the Judicial Council and the Administrative Office of the Courts.
